To be eligible for selection,
a student must have:

1. Standardized test scores at or above the 95th percentile in math, reading, or the basic skills composite area.

2. An official record reflecting excellent grades and appropriate behavior.

3. A recommendation from the school principal or teacher attesting to the student’s ability, behavior, and positive
attitude towards learning.

When the ATLAS Director receives a nomination, a letter is mailed to the student’s parents with detailed information about the application process.
